April 14, 2007 4:49 amThe Jittery Joe’s “Trent Wilson Edition” Coffee Cup Sleeve…
There’s also a Cesar Grajales and Neil Shirley edition.
No Austin King edition though… I told them thanks but no thanks. I didn’t need a really cool little coffee cup sleeve with my face and results on it, being circulated at nearly 10 Jittery Joe’s for several weeks time, to feel better about myself and my riding abilities. I’m fully capable of continuing to provide top quality support work in complete and utter ambiguity. Actually it’s quieter that way.
In other news…
This a pretty entertaining video. I just finished watching it as I ate my morning bowl of cereal. Jimmy Kimmel (as a guest host on Larry King Live) roasts some woman for running a website that has a map that shows you where celebrities were last spotted and also runs false stories about them.
Folks… AKingsLife.com is founded upon the principles of honesty and integrity. Here at AKingsLife.com we never lie or make up fictitious stories about anyone or anything. Instead, we sit high upon a throne of the uptmost morals and standards. Thank you.
You know what, while I’m coming clean… they didn’t ask if I had wanted a coffee cup sleeve… Nope. Sorry for lying. Actually, they didn’t have to… because, um, unfortunately the printing press was struck with lightening and burned down in the middle of a ferocious winter time storm. Yeah, um, the printing press didn’t even stand a chance because of the hotness of the fire. Oh well, there’s always next year, right?
Here’s the video:
Later today, we leave for Peachtree City and the start of the Tour of Georgia. I’m going to do my best to keep you people informed of the in’s and out’s of a week long tour. Tell it like it is, and when I can’t properly tell you, I’ll show you (and the videos never lie people).
Take care.

good job today… you ass looked great. they did some nice pluggin on you Behind!
After a ton of internet research we think you may have been the one who made my 10 year old’s (he’s an Austin too) day. We were able to watch part of stage 2 from our driveway today. One of the three lead cyclists threw my son their water bottle. He thinks the guy was wearing orange or red. The bottle was red and says something like Bar Clif - I don’t have it in front of me - it’s in a place of honor on his bedroom shelf.
Anyway, if it was you - thanks for making my son’s day. Good luck on the rest of the Tour…there’s a 10 year old rooting for you ;o)
Awesome ride on stage 2, I was pissed when I had to go to class and couldn’t “watch” the updates. Way to get that Dent Wizard jersey!
Austin King, off the front! Great to see you mixing it up at the TdG! Good luck on Brasstown Bald!
Aus-tin - I took a good foto of you getting ready for Stage 3 of TdeGA in Rome the other day (wearing the blue aggressive rider jersey.) Please email me and let me know where I can email a copy to you.
PS - We had a GREAT time this past week at the Tour - hope you and your teammates did too.
Hey Fay,
Well, I’m glad I could make your son’s day! I was wearing orange, and towards the later part of the day, I was getting red Clif Bar water bottles from another team’s follow car. When I’m done with the bottles, I’d much rather chuck it to a group of kids than off into some quite farmland.
Thanks again,
Austin
