T-Birds or Fosters… you be the judge.

The Central Valley Classic is going fairly well for the team…

I haven’t seen today’s time trial results yet, but Cesar had a solid ride in yesterdays road race and should be running well in the overall.

Although… you know what… today in the time trial… I swear someone was screwing with my concentration. About 10 kilometers into the time trial I was passed by a beautiful red 1955 Ford Thunderbird complete with the continental kit…

And then another one… but this one was yellow.

And then a third one… but it was turquoise and a convertible.

Shit… at that point I had to glance back… and WOW! another 5 or 10 were coming. I was like a fat kid in a candy store!

As a fan of older classic cars, there are probably only a few things I might find more distracting than a fleet of 1950’s T-Birds. Possibly like a space alien attack? Or a big angry aligator? That would sure as hell distract me.

The beauty of it all was the fact that they didn’t really pass me too quickly. And the road was clogged with other races so I was able to pass them right back up in the bike lane and get another glance.

My Australian teammate Cody was pissed that the 12 Thunderbirds were out on the course and got a bit in the way…

Jeez… no respect, those Aussies. I bet had it been a gigantic can of Fosters beer, he wouldn’t have complained.

I’d have been pissed though.

Take care folks.
