A Brief Word About My First Day of School…

September 17, 2006 9:19 pm

I suppose I owe everyone a brief word about my first day of school. Here it is, don’t miss it:

Good.

That’s how it went. I appreciate everyone’s kind words of support through this very difficult and nervous time.

This is a picture of my class:

I have circled the two girls I suspect to be hereby known as “The Smart Girls”…….

And to answer a few of your questions…….No, I didn’t take the bus. Yes, I would consider psychological warfare with the smart girls. And lastly….. No, I didn’t cry and run home like a little girl like I did on the first day of 1st grade at Gold Dust Elementary School in the year of 1987. True story……

I will now plan out my….um……..well…plan…….to topple The Smart Girls history of scholastic triumphs and tribulations and instil fear into their very own eyes known as the wrath of the bald man’s deep and broad knowledge……Or something along those lines.

Continue to wish me luck. I think it’s working.

you can’t fool me… the only reason people circle girls on their class picture is if they have a crush on them.

Tyson…..seriously man, look at those two girls.

They’re like 5 or 6.

You’re sick man. Real sick……

For some odd reason, I made it rather smoothly through Kindergarten…… Then, when confronted with 1st grade and the reality’s of a 8:30-2:00 school day I just ran. And ran. And ran. All the way home. It was maybe about a mile home. My mom found me laying in my bedroon. She drove me back to school. So, I did what I knew best. Bit the teacher and ran…. And ran. And ran. My mom got in the car and chased me down and brought me back to school.

Then the teacher brainwashed me and made me one of her “special helpers” for the day. She gave me some sort of special button or hat or something like that and I ended up loving it.

i can absolutely back the running away from school statement up. i was there, austin ran, and rather quickly at that. so you know he was scared, because all king men are plauged by the inability to run with the quickness. i tried to stop him, but he beat me off school grounds. and we all know the wrath of the duty aide, of which i did not want. so austin was on his own.

p.s.- austin, to be honest to your readers: you were hiding under your bed.

Actually, I sat on the door step for about 20 minutes before going inside and hiding under my bed……

i love that story.

In my defense, since one of the girls is pretty much cut out of the photo there is no way of judging her age… unless you just assume without any proof that she is roughly the same age as the rest of her classmates. I don’t think that is due process though.
