Yes, I’ve been slacking lately with the website posts…………….

I’ve been busy.

No seriously, I have been. Stop laughing, that’s rude. Seriously, I have been. No, not on E-Bay.

Ok fine then, I’ll explain.

This past weekend, Suzanne and I went to San Diego for her birthday. Her old college roomates live there now, so we went to visit and get caught up. On Saturday, I drove out to Chula Vista for a nice training ride in the mountians. I’ve spent some time at the Olympic Training Center there so I know the roads a bit. As I got back in the mountains, I turned around prematurely due to a sign on the side of the road about 4 mountain lions being spotted a few miles ahead……..Hm? Something tells me the mountain lions would have won had we crossed paths.

I have no formal training in mountain lion wrestling. None at all.

But something tells me this guy does. Or perhaps the mountain lion is just choking and he’s lending a helping hand? I dunno.

All in all it was a great weekend. Also, I’ve recently enrolled in school full time for the fall semester. I figured it was time to exercise my brain and prevent it from fully turning to mush. Partial mush is ok though. I was a bit uncomfortable heading in there to talk to an advisor for the first time in years. I can comfortably navigate any airport in the world but a community college advisement center scares the dickens out of me. Hm, weird. I haven’t been in school since 2000. 6 full years…..What the hell was I thinking? Seriously. Kids, if you’re still reading this, stay in school. I know, I know, I’m sounding like your parents. But, from one soon to be 26 year old sophomore to hopefully not another, stay in school. I promise to stop, but whatever you decide to do, just keep your foot in the door. Ok, I’m done now. So I opted to pass over COM100 and take COM110 in an attempt to not be “that guy”. I already have a receeding hairline and that happens to be on of the pre-requisites for being “that guy”, so I feel I made the right decision. Although, it’s not like COM110 is much better. Eureka. Hopefully, it will just help to lessen the sting a bit. But who knows, maybe I can tell my classmates what the 80’s were like and they can tell me what Hillary Duff is up to? Or how to tell which Olsen twin in Mary-Kate and which one is Ashley Olsen? Give you a dollar if you can tell. Beats me……..

I’ve got my racing schedule for the rest of the year. I’m heading out bright and early Thursday morning to put some time in at the office. Here’s my schedule:

Aug. 5th- Bank of America Crit
Aug. 12th- La Classique Louis Garneau Montreal-Quebec
Aug. 19-20th- USPRO Crit
Sep. 1-3rd- USPRO Road and TT Champs
Sep. 4th- US10K Classic
Sep. 7-10th- Bermuda GP

After that, she’s all done for the winter.

Where did the season go? Seriously. I still remember the California NRC March swing like it was yesterday…….weird.
