Grits and Skynyrd.
April 14, 2006 2:30 amUpon further review of my last post, Minneapolis is officially the “long way” of getting to Georgia………
Yesterday we had a nice little ride in the mountains of Northern Georgia. We got to do some recon of the climbing days. Brasstown is a pretty tough little 3 mile climb. There’s also a climb earlier in the day called Hog Pen that will be a bit rough too. They’ve got some sweet names for the climbs out here……Wolf Pen and Woody Gap are two others. They’re all Pen’s or Gap’s…..must be a Southern thing. Just like grits and Skynyrd.
Viva la Skynyrd!
Today we’re off to ride the TT course. At a little over 2 hours each way, it’s a bit of a drive but should be worth it. I guess the TT course has a steep climb in it and a technical descent with a particular corner where lots of people like to crash, so seeing the course will help.
Also, I’ve worked out the comment issue my sites been having. It wouldn’t allow you to leave a comment unless you were a member. Now, there’s no discriminating……members….non-members….all are welcome to leave comments till your little hearts content.
Cheers.
