I present to you……..Austin King’s Chronicles From Across The Pond.
March 29, 2006 2:11 pmHello All.
I’ve been working hard to post all of Austin King’s Chronicles From Across The Pond to my site. Over the past few years, I’ve written a small army of journals and stories about life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness as I wandered the streets of Europe racing my bike. I started writting in 2001 when I stepped off the plane and onto European soil for the first time. I wrote it, just as I saw it. Often this was a tad on the harsh side but they always turned out to be plenty funny. Just read them with an open mind. As of now, I believe I’ve only got one of the early Chronicles posted. I plan on posting the rest of them in their original, hell raising, un-edited, potty mouthed versions at some point in the future.
The later years of the Chronicles (2004, 2005), was where the real beauties stepped forth…….”The Belgian Blunder” (April, 2004), “My Letter to Mother Nature” (March, 2004) and “My Advice Helps A Young Man In Need” (July, 2005) were all front runners for a good laugh. And lets not forget the hit, “For Mature Audiences Only” (May, 2004) where I delicately describe the first (and last) time another man’s hind-end mashed itself across my forehead. Check it out for the full scoop. I enjoyed writting home and sharing a unique, light hearted and often times odd view of my new found home commonly reffered to as “Europe”.

In the next few days when I get some time, I’ll post the rest of them. I’ll be a bit busy as my training picks up to put the final touches on my fitness heading into the Tour of Georgia. With the Jittery Joe’s team and the bulk of it’s sponsors being Georgia based, it’s quite an important week for us. As for me, I’m really excited, it should be a good ‘ol time at the bike races. I’ll keep you posted.
Cheers.
